Disneyland Paris – Part 2 – More Planning

By |April 9th, 2026|Categories: Feature, Tree Travel|Tags: , , , , |

As I told you last week, we are doing our first international trip where we visit a Disney Park!  By the time you are reading this, we should be a week out from our time at Disneyland Paris and enjoying some time in Nice!  I wanted to tell you a few things that I noticed when booking my Disneyland Paris trip vs visiting a Disney Park in the US. Disneyland Paris has a few new “worlds” that opened right at the end of March, so I guess our timing was good for our trip.  They have the World of [...]

Disneyland Paris – Part 1 – Planning

I am getting ready for my first Disney adventure outside of the US.  In fact, in only 14 days, we will arrive at Disneyland Paris!  We are leaving in 5 days to head to France and will be spending a few days in both Nice and Paris before Disneyland Paris (more about those destinations in a future blog). I thought I would spend the next 2 weeks giving you some noticeable differences that I have found already between Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.  In case you didn’t know, Disneyland Paris has 2 parks which are Disneyland and Disney Adventure World [...]

Viking River Cruise – Part 3 – The Things We Didn’t Like

By |January 29th, 2026|Categories: Feature, Tree Travel|Tags: , , , , |

Last week I talked about the things we liked on our Viking River Cruise down the Danube, now let’s talk about the things that we didn’t love!  Ok, my husband said the weather – but as I reminded him, we were in Bavaria in the winter, so yes, he needed shoes and socks and a jacket. Let me start this off by saying I am no spring chicken, as the saying goes. Both my hubby and I are 60, but we are very active and don’t sit around much. And for us the absolute worst thing was the average [...]

Viking River Cruise – Part 2 – The Best Things

By |January 22nd, 2026|Categories: Disney Travel, Feature, Tree Travel|Tags: , , , , |

I talked last week about our first Viking River Cruise and will talk about all the best things about the cruise!  The absolute best thing about the river cruise was the ability to visit so many cities in one week.  On our cruise we visited Regensburg and Passau, Germany; Krems (Gottweig Abbey) and Vienna, Austria; and Budapest, Hungary.  In all the cities (except Vienna), the river cruise docked right in the city, so it was an easy on/off to visit the city itself!  Vienna was a much bigger city, so the boat docked farther away from the city center, [...]

Viking River Cruise – Part 1

As I promised in mid-2025, when I did my first ever cruise, now I am going to recap my first ever River Cruise!   Peter and I planned this river cruise of the Christmas Markets way back in late summer of 2024 which was more than a year before the actual cruise.  For me it was a bucket list item to see the European Christmas Markets! Planning the cruise itself was easy and there are a LOT of river cruise companies.  We chose Viking as we read a lot of great reviews and we were not disappointed with that choice [...]

Disneyland – Lightning Lane

By |November 20th, 2025|Categories: Feature, Tree Travel|Tags: , , , , |

On a recent two-day trip to Disneyland, we decided to “experiment” with Lightning Lane.  We were there on Wednesday and Thursday right before Halloween.  The Wednesday crowd forecast was about a 3 and on Thursday it was about a 7 (based on a scale of 1 to 10).  We wanted to maximize our number of rides.  Here is how it broke down: Wednesday: We purchased Lightning Lane Multi Pass along with individual Lightning Lane for Radiator Springs Racers and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.  Total cost for that day was $79.75 per person.  On that day we rode [...]
