Disney World – Planning – Food Part 3 – Victoria and Alberts!
So, in my last two posts I covered planning for eating at Disney World. In the last post I noted that there are over 200 restaurants on property to choose from. And there are a lot of great places to eat. For most people just eating in the parks themselves is all they ever need to be happy (and satisfied!) But when you are a WDW regular and you want to expand your food horizons there are a bunch of great options in the on property resorts to choose from. And you will find almost any type of food you can imagine.
My husband and I have our favorites for sure. But sometimes we just want to get dressed up in non-park clothes, you know, no Mickey tees, no shorts and no mouse ears. Thankfully there is an amazing restaurant that lets us get fancy for a night. Victoria & Alberts at the Grand Floridian Resort. Before I go any further, its time for the BIG caveat – it’s really expensive and definitely not for everyone. There is a dress code, there are no park characters, there is a no kids below 10 years old policy and you will spend a lot of money. Now if all of that is ok with you, please read on.

So, the planning part – this may be one of the hardest reservations to get in all of WDW, period. The 60 days from your trip reservation system is your friend, but be warned, there are no guarantees to get a reservation, and you need to call to get it. It is a prix-fixe restaurant that starts at $425.00 per person for the Chefs table and $295 per person for the main dining room. Optional wine pairings start at $155.00 per person and Zero-proof pairings start at $115.00 per person. There are actually three dining experiences in the restaurant, the Chefs table which only seats once per night, The Queen Victoria Room which seats up to 8 guests and the main dining room which only seats about 12 tables. So, there you go. If you are still reading this, let’s talk about the actual restaurant.
First it has won a whole bunch of awards, including a Five-Star badge from Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond awards every year since 2000 and in 2024 it was awarded a Michelin Star, which it has retained in 2025. It also holds the title of the ONLY Michelin Starred restaurant owned and operated by a U.S. Theme Park. So, it has all of the bases covered in excellence for food and service. But what is so special about this restaurant?

Full disclosure, my husband and I have been to Victoria & Alberts several times, we actually try to go once a year. And every single time it has been amazing. We tell people to think of it as an experience and not just a dinner. Like a private concert for two. You can expect to spend 3 to 4 hours at the restaurant, and every menu is a little different.
When you arrive, you will be greeted by the staff and typically by the restaurant’s maître d’hôtel, Israel Pérez. You will be seated and introduced to your team for the evening. It will be at least 3 people, including a main server, an assistant server and other staff who will help. You will also be handed your personalized menu – which comes in an envelope with your name on it. It’s a souvenir by itself. Your menu will show your 10 to 12 course meal (!) as planned for you that evening. And don’t worry – if you have food allergies or food you don’t eat, they will accommodate that before you ever arrive. My husband doesn’t eat fish, and his menu is always a feast of everything but fish. This is just a taste of what the details are like here. And your choices for wine and cocktails are unmatched in all of WDW. So, there’s that too.
As your food is coursed out to you, you are given an explanation of each course by your amazing team as it is presented to you in unique and fun ways. Every plate is different, and every item is a piece of art. There are a million descriptions and videos of the food out there, so I won’t go into details of any particular food item – and besides every time it’s a different meal. The thing to remember here is that this is not fast food, its an evening to enjoy quiet conversation with your loved one, have an amazing meal that is slowly being presented to you and while it’s a “fancy” restaurant, the atmosphere is very calm and casual. The staff makes sure you don’t have a want in the world – while doing an almost invisible job of taking care of you. And if you have been there more than once, they will remember you, I don’t know how, but they are that good.
I could go on for hours about the experience, the taste of the food and the downright unbelievable staff. But I will leave you with this – if you have the means, it is worth doing. For some guests it is a once in a lifetime bucket list item. And that is ok too. For us, we can’t wait to go back!
